I like the idea of compiling the sum of all human knowledge and its preservation. I joined Wikipedia in 2005, collaborating regularly as a volunteer in many areas.
As of 2026, I have contributed 240,000 handmade edits and over 100 million bot edits to all Wikimedia projects, and uploaded 20,000 photos from my travels to Commons. I am also active on Wikidata, where Emijrpbot created over 100,000 items and added 1 billion descriptions.
Finally, I have developed several tools and published academic literature,[2] including the anti-vandalism bot AVBOT,[3] Wiki Loves Monuments maps and statistics,[4] the WikiTeam digital preservation project (which has backed up over 600,000 wikis)[5] and other software like Wikiradio or StatMediaWiki.
